NBB Extends Support to ‘Al Hekma Society for the Retired’ for their Digital Platform Initiative
The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has extended its support to Al Hekma Society for the Retired to assist in the development of its digital platform initiative. The platform aims to enhance the capabilities of the Society’s digital transformation initiatives through issuing a Membership Card as well as a Testahel Discount Card via the sophisticated platform.
In line with the bank’s commitment to develop various segments within its local community, NBB will work towards enhancing the Society’s digital platform as a strategic partner. The initiative aims to show appreciation to the entire Bahraini retiree community; a segment that has worked tirelessly throughout its years of active service in all sectors public, private and military.
Al Hekma Society for the Retired is currently undertaking a distinct project designed to provide the organisation with sustainable, self-financing capabilities, set to be operational within two years of launching. The project will consist of several initiatives, including the completion of its digital platform, supported by NBB and other strategic partners.
The platform endeavours to drive growth and development through setting up a number of cyber initiatives in various fields, in collaboration with Bahrain’s e-Government and the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO); both of which will assist in strengthening multiple segments within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Commenting on the occasion, H.E. LT. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairman of Supreme Council of Health and Chairman of Al Hekma Society for Retired, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with NBB, one of the leading banks in the Kingdom, to enhance our e-Services. Since its inception in 1991, the Society has prioritised the reemployment of retirees in the Bahraini community by investing in their expertise and ensuring they remain valued members of our society. Through our collaboration with NBB, we hope to develop a digital platform that enhances our reach and facilitates our services to our members.”
On his end, Mr. Farouk Yousif Khalil Al-Moayyed, Chairman of NBB, said: “We are pleased to extend our support to Al Hekma Society for the Retired, in appreciation of all retirees who have worked across various public and private sector entities within the Kingdom of Bahrain. The bank is committed to uplifting various members of our local community as part of our ongoing efforts to support the national economy and invest in socially responsible initiatives across all levels. We look forward to collaborating with a variety of local charities and organisations, and especially those who have a positive influence on our society.”
NBB continues to lend its expertise and support to various members of its community through an array of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), community-led initiatives and developmental partnerships.
