The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has announced the conclusion of the second edition of its ‘EVOLVE’ summer internship programme. Over the course of the summer, the Bank welcomed students from schools and universities across Bahrain, providing them with a structured and diverse introduction to banking.

The lucky winners won a sum totaling USD $1,000,000 of cash prizes, with each winner receiving USD $10,000. The winning customers have been announced on NBB’s social media platforms.

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has sponsored and participated in the first ever Global Water, Energy and Climate Change Congress (GWECCC) held under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister. GWECCC was hosted by the Ministry of Oil and Environment, and is a Bahraini initiative aimed at encouraging discussions on the challenges, opportunities and technologies related to water sustainability.

The internship scheme forms an integral part of the curriculum for students and provides them with the real-world experience of working at a bank such as NBB. The work placement is a prerequisite for the students, as they must complete the placement to graduate, and is an essential part of their university education.

The programme is an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and was developed to identify talented young Bahrainis and equip them with the skills and guidance they need to become future leaders. NBB has been one of the programme’s strategic partners since its inception.

NBB has increased the scope of winners to include more opportunities to win valuable rewards. For each BHD 50 deposited into their SaveWave, Express Saver, and Al Mumayaz accounts, customers have one chance to win prizes ranging from USD $10,000 to USD $1,000,000.

In line with its annual Donations and Contributions Programme, the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has recently lent its support to the Bahrain Red Crescent Society – a voluntary relief society recognised by the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva.
