The internship scheme forms an integral part of the curriculum for students and provides them with the real-world experience of working at a bank such as NBB. The work placement is a prerequisite for the students, as they must complete the placement to graduate, and is an essential part of their university education.

The programme is an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and was developed to identify talented young Bahrainis and equip them with the skills and guidance they need to become future leaders.
