National Bank of Bahrain Supports Bahrain International Schools Eco-Summit 2023

National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) recently extended its support to the Bahrain International Schools Eco-Summit 2023, 'Bahrain - Hear our Voice,' held at Bahrain Polytechnic on 24th May 2023. The first event which was founded and hosted by St Christopher's School Bahrain, was supported by reputable organisations, including the Supreme Council for Environment, Bahrain Polytechnic and Upcycle Bahrain.

The summit brought together nearly 300 students aged 10 to 16 from 16 different schools in the Kingdom. They attended various sustainability workshops and presentations, showcasing their individual eco-projects.

NBB Sustainability Officer, Yara Ebrahim, actively engaged with the students, explaining the bank’s sustainability journey and a few of the different initiatives that NBB worked on, while also listening to their ideas and learning about the challenges they faced while working on their projects. In her concluding speech, Yara also expressed how proud the bank is to continue to embrace and support the talented youth in the Kingdom, and the importance of encouraging them to integrate the pillars of sustainability in a way that contributes to enhancing their future career paths.
